What makes a college “selective”? And what does it take to get admitted to such a school?
To answer these questions, The Princeton Review has teamed up with Huffington Post for a new project called “America's Most Selective Colleges.”
In our quest to find the most “elite” schools in the U.S., we considered many factors, including the percentage of applicants a school admitted and the qualifications of its incoming freshmen (e.g., class rank, GPA, and test scores). In our final analysis, 16 colleges stood above the rest as the most selective in the nation.
Additionally, to help you get in, we've created seven videos on crucial admissions topics, such as your high school transcript, your application, the selection process, and, lest you get too hung up on prestige, college fit. You can check out the first one below.
